- Verified complaint, connected MB DAS and performed diagnostic. Found the following fault codes: 0521- The charge movement flap (cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction 0856- The coolant temperature is below the coolant thermostat specified temperature Performed function test per MB instructions, found thermostat opening too early causing check engine light to activate. Also tested intake manifold flap operation, found intake manifold broken internally causing flaps at bank 1 to stay closed. Advise customer to replace intake manifold and thermostat.
- Verified complaint, hook up MB DAS, found fault code PO128-miscalibrated thermostat. Advised customer and authorized repair. Drained coolant, r/r thermostat. Erased fault code, added coolant, road tested. No check engine light on at this time
- Verified complaint, hook up MB DAS and performed diagnostic. Found code P0521-Charge movement flap bank 1 malfunction; P2091-mixture in right cylinder bank too lean when idling; P2095-mixture in left cylinder bank too lean when idling; P0171-Self adaptation right bank out of permissible limit; P0174-Self adaptation left bank out of permissible limit. Performed electrical test, found intake flaps not closing. Advised customer and authorized repair. Removed injectors, spark plug coil wires, and ME computer. Disassembled intake manifold and cleaned adjoining surfaces. Reassembled, cleared check engine light and road tested, OK now.
