- Verified complaint, connected vehicle to MB Xentry & performed diagnostic. found the following CURRENT fault code: P0170- Fuel trim lean, bank 1 P0174- Fuel trim lean, bank 2 P0521- Air flaps bank 1 malfunction Additionally, found the following PENDING fault code: P0128- coolant temperature is above specified temperature Performed electrical test, found intake flap not closing & causing lean fault codes to increase & vehicle operating temperature to rise higher than allowable. Called, advised customer & authorized all repairs on 11/4/2022 @ 11:47 AM for no more than $ 2,900 total. Removed engine cover to remove fuel injectors, spark plug coil wires, & ME computer. Disassembled intake manifold & cleaned adjoining surfaces. Removed thermostat as part of & included with repair, replaced o-rings, breather hoses, intake seals also as part of & included with repair. Reassembled, cleared check engine light & reset vehicle adaptations. Performed road test & connected vehicle to MB Xentry. No pending & no stored fault codes, vehicle operating as designed.
