Services Performed
- Road tested and verified complaint, hook up MB DAS and performed diagnostic. Found the following codes: 1089- Purge control system has a slight leak (current and stored) 905D- Component F58kH (Circuit 15 relay) is defective or missing, or the feed line has Open circuit (stored) 0632- Misfiring P0300 (stored) 0491- Relay Fuel Pump (stored) 0868- Voltage supply of component Motor electronics/battery voltage too low for ADC P0607 (current and stored) 1108- Voltage at relay Circuat 87 is too low P2505 (current and stored) Performed fuel pressure test per MB code, connected fuel pressure gauge, found 4 BAR of pressure, and then pressure dropped suddenly as vehicle stalled. Performed fuel pump test, checked for pump activation and signal at fuel pump, found no signal and no pump activation. Replaced fuel pump control module with known good unit, vehicle idled for 3 hours and then stalled. Performed Electronic Ignition Switch test (EIS) and found EIS and keys tested good (Communication with control unit Electronic ignition switch was successful). Replaced crankshaft position sensor with known good unit, vehicle idled for nearly 8 hours and then stalled. Hook up MB DAS and found the following fault codes: 254000- The signal of the fuel pressure sensor for the low pressure circuit is implausible C1000- Communication with the engine control unit is malfunctining C15500- Communication with the instrument cluster has a malfunction C16800- Communication with the electronic ignition switch is malfunctioning Checked signal and resistance at Motor Electronics (ME), found resistance within MB spec and signal present. Possible ME issue. Advise customer to have vehicle further diagnosed by dealership.
